CAMERON BROOKS

Cameron Brooks was born and raised on the island of Oahu and graduated from the Punahou academy in 2001. He took up the art of professional fine art photography in the year 2010. He has flown around the island of Oahu well over 300 times in both R22s and R44s, and has set the world record for the amount of epic rainbow shots ever captured from a helicopter across east Oahu. He once flew all the way from Makapuu Lighthouse back to Diamond Head chasing an epic rainbow that refused to fade away.. and has the pictures to prove it!
His favorite places to fly around are the Kaneohe sandbar, Lanikai, and Waimanalo.. but he also makes time to fly over the big waves on the north shore during the winter seasons. One of his favorite ultra wide panoramas is a shot of Diamond Head captured during the Honolulu Marathon with thousands of runners heading back to Waikiki.. and well over 8,000 people crowding the beach at Waimea Bay during the Eddie surf contest.
Cameron's high altitude collection is a sight to behold.. he finds angles that no one ever thought to capture from a helicopter before.. and also has the only collection of Waimanalo aerials that ever captured of the sands swirling out at sea. His preferred camera / lens combination is the Canon 5DSR and 11-24mm L lens.
Although the majority of his helicopter photos are captured in the skies of Oahu, he also has a vast selection of aerials captured from Kauai and Maui.. including all of the major hotels along the southern coast of Haleakala.
