Metal prints are made by a process called dye sublimation
Unlike the traditional method of printing directly on the material surface, which may damage easily, dye sublimation infuses the image directly into the hard coating to provide lasting durability and protection
The next step requires your image to be printed on transfer paper with specialized sublimation inks made for the metal print process
This transfer sheet is then placed on to a blank metal photo panel which is then placed in a heat press
The heat and pressure causes the sublimation inks to transform into a gas
The gas is then absorbed through the pores of the polymer coating of the metal and into the base coating
This entire process creates the most high quality, vibrant images that will easily outlast other printing processes
February 2021, Artifact Hawaii opens a state of the art Production Center at 1481 S. King Street in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association held its 120th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament on January 21, 2021 at the Pearl Country Club. Participation was better than expected given the current conditions with over 120 players and more than 30 brave volunteers. Some of the event sponsors included Artifact Hawaii, Mochi Foods, Sacs Fifth Avenue, Paradise Beverages, Honolulu Advertiser and NETT Distribution. A dream realized… when successful entrepreneur Xioahui Wu left China for the United States, there were only two things on his mind – making Hawaii home for his family and sharing the natural beauty of Hawaii to the rest of the world. Xioahui quickly learned that recreating this beauty was no easy task, as reproducing high quality fine art requires both talented artists and very specialized equipment. In 2018, Artifact Tech Inc. was opened in Hawaii to reproduce fine art at a quality never seen before. Nicole He, co-founder & CEO of Artifact Tech Inc., quickly recruited the state’s top talent to set up the Artifact Hawaii team. Nicole also created the Artifact Production Center, conveniently located near Ala Moana Shopping Center, and is now reproducing superior fine art images up to 96” wide in high-definition vibrant color. Custom shaped prints can also be created to accommodate almost any need.
